SBB's Has Kittens For Adoption!!!

Be a responsible pet owner and know the facts.  Breed Specific  Legislation is happening everywhere, and because their are irresponsible people who made a commitment to own and care for a pet, before researching and understanding how big of a responsibility it truly is, their are consequences for not only that particular dog, but for every one else who owns that particular breed of dog!

Saving Bully Breeds is here to help save dogs who are now homeless and to help educate people about Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).  Breed Specific Legislation is becoming more and more popular!  We need to set good examples of how good our "bully breeds" really are and that they are harmless when raised and cared for in a proper manner.  Dogs require a lot of time, exercise, and love.  People need to understand what a huge responsibility it is when acquiring a new dog, or any pet for that matter.  We need to stop unnecessary euthinasia in animals and find them loving homes.  We need to tell our legislators that we do not stand for BSL and show them our wonderful gentle giants are truly gentle.

Punish the Deed, Not the Breed!
BSL will eliminate a whole line of breeds if allowed too!  In many cases if a dog just appears to look as if it resembles the particular breed that is banned, it will too be euthanized.  This is not the way to go about unacceptable dog behavior and we as owners and trainers know that. We have to inform people that this BSL is real and is happening to people and their pets everywhere.  We need to write letters to our legislatures telling them how we feel and that there are better ways to go about the few unacceptable behaviors that have occured.  BSL has been proven to be ineffective and we need to remind legislators and supportors of this and come up with better ways to go about this.

We do not eliminate an entire human race because their are a few that havn't been taught right from wrong, why should we do this with an entire breed?

Most of the dog attacks have been reported to be with unsupervised, unneutered/unspayed dogs with young children.  You must supervise your child!  This is key in parenthood wheather you a pet parent or a parent to a child!

Please realize that:
You are 60 times more likely to be killed by a falling cocunut than a pitbull in your lifetime!
A child is more than 800 times more likely to be killed by their parent/guardian than a pitbull!
You are more likely to die from bees than any dog!
Your child is more likely to die in a car accident than by a dog!
Statistically, you are more likely to be bitten by a jack russel than a rottweiler!

Bottom line:

Supervise your children and your pets!  Train and socialize your animals! It is that simple, and it is something that dog owners and parents should be doing to begin with!  We as pet parents, know this, so lets start educating and raising awareness to others.

Please help us make a difference by being a responsiable owner who loves and cares for their animals.  Show people how gentle your dog can be and how well mannered he is!  Take a training class, go to the park for a good walk, and socialize!

Serious Issues in Need of Assistance~

Breed Specific Legislation should not be taken lightly!  BSL is a serious issue that has the potentioal to eliminate entire breeds and not just rottwilers and pittbulls eithier!  In some places the corgie is being affected!  Everydog has the ability to kill, just as every human does, but we must show that we have taught our dogs self control and respect!  Not everydog is the same, just as every humen is not the same! SBB is working to make the issue known that BSL is not affective and is wrong!  We are trying to save one dog at a time!
~We need your help, we can't do it alone!

Saving Bully Breeds wants you to be active on this issue and help educate others~
